The Riverton Youth Soccer Association was
established over twenty years ago to provide
the youth of Riverton with a quality developmental
program in soccer. The recreational program
offered through RYSA always has been, and
remains the cornerstone program of our association.
It is our aim to provide all the youth of
our community with an opportunity to participate
in active development of soccer skills and
good sportsmanship. We emphasize development
of soccer skills through active competition
in our recreation leagues.
RYSA offers recreational soccer through
its various leagues every fall and spring.
Over 400 Riverton area children participate
annually in our recreation leagues.
Leagues are formed for boys and girls in
the following age groups: U-5, U-6, U-8,
U-10, U-12, U-14, and U-16. Leagues may
be coed, or, if the numbers are sufficient,
divided into gender categories at the different
age levels.
We also offer opportunities for all coaches
to learn or expand their soccer coaching
knowledge. Entry level coaches learn the
fundamentals of the game and the essential
skills and philosophy of coaching youth
soccer through fun, hands-on coaching clinics.
For those seeking greater challenges in
coaching, we provide opportunities through
State sponsored clinics taught by licensed
USSF coaches from around the region. We
strongly encourage parents to become involved
as coaches of this "beautiful game".
Recreation soccer is played at the Rein
Park Soccer Complex for the U-5 through
U-10 leagues and at Central Wyoming College
or Riverton high School for upper age groups.
